Bihar with a population of about 13 crores, has a burden of more than 3 lacs cancer patients at any given time and approximately 1,40,000 new cancer patients are added every year to this pool. The north east region of Bihar lacked a comprehensive cancer centre which could provide all the treatment facilities under one roof. Considering huge burden of the disease and a need for comprehensive cancer centre, our visionary leader Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh, who is a renowned pathologist and a veteran social worker pledged to bring the best in the cancer care delivery system.
