The Department of Anaesthesiology at SVCA comprises of a team of experienced consultants and excellent support staff. The staff provides services at the ultra-modern operation theatres. The latest technology used by the anesthesiologists at the hospital includes an advanced anaesthesia work station, non-invasive and invasive monitors, infusion pumps, drug administration devices & endoscopes for difficult intubation.

Also under the Anaesthetic department is the 10-bed MICU (Medical Intensive Care Unit), fully equipped with latest ventilators, invasive and noninvasive monitors providing sophisticated care to seriously ill cancer patients.

The unit is also jointly managed by the department with a multi disciplinary team of oncologists, physicians, physiotherapist, nutritionist, psychologist and well experienced critical care nurses.
